Tech Workers Unite! Organizing those that make technology happen. This will be a panel discussion with organizers and workers who are involved in improving working conditions of tech workers in the US. It is common to talk about how technology helps our organizing, but this panel will offer a chance to think about who makes these advances work and what are their working conditions and organizing opportunities. We will have organizers from two successful campaigns, Alliance at IBM and Cingular Wireless talk about their efforts. We will contrast these efforts with current campaigns such as Verizon Wireless and Affiliated Computer Systems. Massachusetts Jobs with Justice will facilitate the panelists.
