Mike Ewall is the founder and director of Energy Justice Network. He's been active in the student and grassroots community environmental movements since high school. He's worked primarily on energy, waste and toxics issues, helping community groups around the world (with a strong focus on Pennsylvania) in their efforts to stop polluting industries. His work helped stop a nuclear waste dump, a liquefied natural gas terminal, many landfills and incinerators and power plants, fluoridation mandates, medical waste plants, crematoria, and much more. He does a lot of public speaking and field organizing, advises students on their campaigns, develops and supports grassroots community groups in opposition to polluting industries, researches and writes factsheets and other materials, and does database work for the mapping project.
