Transform your website into a dynamic online community with online member registration, discussion forums, blogs, wikis, events calendar, RSS syndication and podcasting. We will take a close look at Plone, the open source content management system, and how non-profit and grassroots organizations can leverage this powerful system to build communities and drive more traffic to their site. Rob Baker, webmaster for Oxfam America, and Akira Kamira (System for Adult Basic Education Support) will demo their Plone-based websites and discuss how they are engaging their communities on the web, through the use of podcasting and calendaring/event registration tools.
